Now Available on Android: Void Tyrant

The popular sci-fi card RPG comes to Android, and gets a beefy new content update on iOS to boot.

Since its release on iOS earlier this year, Quite Fresh Games’ Void Tyrant has been a hit, and now it’s finally landed on Android, complete with a beefy new update for users of both platforms to enjoy. Battle your way across the galaxy to go toe-to-toe with a seemingly unstoppable force, with over 500 cards to unlock, strategic character classes, and a unique card-based battle system. This free-to-play title is supported with ads, but with a one-time purchase you can turn them off forever.

Touch Arcade’s Andrew Fretz said in a 5 star review, “I will have this game on my phone for a long time to come, and for good reason.”

148Apps’ Campbell Bird gave it 4.5 stars and said, “There’s always a next time to look forward to in Void Tyrant, and that’s the greatest thing about it.”

BGR’s Jacob Siegal says, “‘Void Tyrant’ is the most addictive iPhone game of 2019.”

This latest update brings the Assassin class as an optional IAP, with new perks, missions, and new upgradeable cards. This patch also includes a bunch of free content, such as new enemies, NPCs, perks, cards, weapons, equipment, missions, and more. This also includes a host of new tweaks, balance changes, and bug fixes. For complete build notes, please see the “What’s New” section on both Google Play and the App Store.

In Void Tyrant, players roll a character and journey from planet to planet as they make their way across the galaxy map. On each planet, they’ll have to contend with traps and monsters, but could also find valuable treasure, party allies, or other secrets. During combat, players and enemies take turns drawing cards from a deck, trying to get as close to a value of 12 without overloading. Win, and you can activate a variety of devastating or beneficial effects. Lose and you’ll take damage. If you get wiped out, well, just roll a new character and start again, benefiting from any of the unique permanent upgrades you may have earned.

Sporting beautiful, colourful art and a sci-fantasy vibe, Void Tyrant is built for replayability, whether you have a few minutes or a few hours to spare. Quite Fresh Games is Stefan Åhlin, the creator of iOS classic Ultimate Briefcase, and an indie veteran of studios like King and Nitrome. We hope you enjoy Void Tyrant on iOS and Android, and consider helping us share the news!
